Dream Makers Partnership

A new and exciting way to be involved in the thrills of National Hunt Racing

The Partnership
The Partnership has been running for three seasons and has produced 5 winners and 16 placed.  The partnership aims to have a minimum of forty share, each priced at an all-in figure of £3750.00 including VAT. The aim is to have 2 or 3 horses in training (depending on numbers); the cost of each share covers the training fees, insurance, Weatherbys and all additional expenses.

This season’s Partnership will start in August 2007 and will run until mid May 2008 when the horses will be sold at Doncaster Sales.  All proceeds from the sale will be divided in July 2008, as per the agreement of the Dream Makers Partnership.

The Partnership will continue its contribution towards Spinal Research.  A sum of £250 per share, 5% of all the winnings and 5% of any profit from the sale of the horses will go to this worthwhile cause.

Hugo Bevan – Partner, Organiser and Entertainment
Hugo, who was Clerk of the Course at Windsor, Towcester, Huntingdon, Warwick and Worcester, is now retired and works for the Injured Jockey's Fund.  He is a regular fundraiser for Spinal Research.

Bill Shand Kydd - Charity Fundraiser & Partner
Bill was a leading amateur, having won many races including the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham. Bill broke his back in 1995 and has been a tetraplegic ever since. He has tirelessly raised money for Spinal Research ever since his accident.

Kim Bailey – Partner and Trainer
Kim comes from a family steeped in the tradition of Jump racing. Kim’s successes have included winning the Grand National with Mr Frisk and a famous double of the Champion Hurdle and the Cheltenham Gold Cup with Alderbrook and Master Oats. He has also won the Racing Post Chase twice (Docklands Express), the Welsh Grand National and the Scottish Champion Hurdle etc.

Richard Dunwoody – Charity Fundraiser & Partner
Richard needs no introduction to anyone with an interest in racing. He rode 1699 winners in Britain throughout his career. Three times Champion Jump Jockey, he also partnered two Grand National winners - 1986 West Tip and 1994 Minnehoma.

Entertainment
One of the most popular aspects of every partnership has to be the element of camaraderie and fun.  We aim to make the Dream Makers Partnership an exciting and entertaining way to be involved in Jumps Racing.

There will also be a box at nominated Cheltenham meetings but not at the Festival.  Winning is obviously the name of the game but the real secret is having fun and we sincerely hope to provide you with plenty of that.

There will be Open Mornings at Thorndale Farm, where you will be able to see the horses on the gallops followed by light refreshments.

Decision Making
The day-to-day running of the partnership will be down to Kim Bailey and Hugo Bevan.  The four-person committee of Richard Dunwoody, Bill Shand Kydd, Hugo Bevan and Kim Bailey will discuss any important matters, which may arise in the year.

Communication
An essential part of any large partnership is communication. There will be regular e-mail contact direct to shareholders which will update them with the horses' progress and plans.  Also there is a dedicated free hotline.

In Summary
We aim to make the Dream Makers Partnership a highly entertaining and successful venture. Hugo Bevan will be the partnership’s entertainment manager, something that he has a great deal of experience at, but ultimately we also want to make as much money as possible for Spinal Research, a charity that is so close to everyone’s heart in racing.

Sponsorship
The partnership will be registered for VAT and in line with Customs and Excise guidelines, Spinal Research will sponsor the partnership with logos on the attendants clothing and paddock rugs. All VAT is reclaimable.

We look forward to welcoming you as a Partner.
