Worthy Winners!
Since our last
newsletter a few weeks ago we have had two very special
wins.
The first was Sonny
Mullen at Uttoxeter, who was our first winner for
new owners Clive Washbourn and Simon Murray. We
bought Sonny Mullen from Doncaster Sales in
August having won a bumper at Market Rasen by 25
lengths. He was 2nd in his first race for us at
Haydock but we knew he was better than that and would
definitely win for us.
Sonny Mullen beat Son
Histoire of Philip Hobbs' by half a length but they both
pulled away clear from the rest of the field by 17
lengths.
The second of our
special winners was for the Dream Makers Partnership with
Double Mead. Double Mead has had 16 months off
with leg problems so to get her back on the course was
an achievement in itself let alone to win.
Double Mead has been a very successful mare for the
Dream Makers Partnership and has been in the first four
eleven times from fourteen runs.
Dream Makers is a
partnership that was set up to raise funds for the
Spinal Injuries Association and with horses like
Double Mead they really do help to give money to an
extremely worthwhile charity.

The Heroes Partnership
I am delighted to be
able to invite you to join The Heroes Partnership which
I have organised to raise money for the forces charity
Help for Heroes. I was made aware of the plight of
the injured when former amateur jockey and friend, Guy
Disney, lost his foot and the lower part of his leg in
Helmand Province earlier this year.
The partnership will be made up of a minimum of 63
shares and a maximum of 100 at a cost of £5,000 per
share. The first £1,000 of each share will go directly
to Help for Heroes and the rest will be used to purchase
the horses, cover training fees, insurance and all
additional expenses.
We have bought two horses so far for the partnership,
they are Eastern Supreme and Behindcloseddoors.
They have both won bumpers impressively this year and
were picked out by Aidan Murphy at the recent Doncaster
Bloodstock Sales. The partnership will run until May
2011 when the horses will be sold at the Doncaster
Bloodstock sales and all proceeds will be divided
equally between all the shareholders. The partnership
will also donate 100% of the prize money to the charity;
I will also be donating the first £5,000 of my prize
money to Help for Heroes.
If you are interested in joining please download an
application form or more details please
