15th December 2015

Plus 9 and dry when driving in.

By dry I meant it was not raining; but there is nothing dry about the ground.

It was certainly not dry at Ffos Las yesterday..

A very rare visit from the trainer, so much so that The Drinkymeister's owners John and Penny Perriss and locally based Nicky van Dijk (Kilty Caul) were rather surprised to see me, as were the officials at the racecourse. John rather enjoys telling all at Ffos Las that I dont know where it is?

It rained and was very wet but sadly The Drinkymeister did not brighten our day as he only finished 4th. I wonder if he stayed as he looked all over the winner turning for home.

Jockey Tom Bellamy and winning point to point rider Gus Levinson were in for a couple of lots. we jumped Sonneofpresenting, Nam Hai, Pulling Power and Monkhouse. There is a very foggy video of this schooling this morning which can be viewed here.

Michelle Dudderidge purchased 'A morning on the gallops' today and brought 6 people over.. Foto, Trevor, Alex, Michael, Donna, Emma and Peter Kerr joined them.. Michelle has a share in the KBRP horse grey Kayf Tara Gelding.

Talking KBRP we have just announced a new KBRP partnership in Texas Forever a winning Irish Point to Point winner.. So if you are looking for a rather different and special Christmas Present why not click here and invest.. You will  have a runner early January.. and who knows a winner..

Ed Cookson delivered our Christmas tree yesterday; he seems to have been delivering to most of those involved in the yard who live locally… If you visit Manor Farm, Upper Slaughter to buy your tree you will probably find Ed's mother Angela manning the till..

Still looking for a tree or a wreath?.. here is the hot line number 07909517108.. straight through to the main man...Ed sells a fine tree..

Tyler Daintith delivered a christmas card from all my staff to Clare, Archie and I. All signed it and even few xx's at the bottom..

Graham Potts who was the BHA vet on duty at Ffos Las was in here this morning for his weekly visit.

This weeks movers and shakers in the handicap charts are..Didntitellya down 3 to 117, Mor Brook down 2 to 104, Red Spinner up 8 to 143, Flemensmix up 7 to 122 (tough) Sunblazer went up 2 to 85 for finishing 4th at Wolverhampton also tough, while Viaduct Jack enters at 114.

We have no runners today..

Paddy says to Mick "I found this pen. Is it yours?"

Mick replies "Don't know, give it here." He then tries it and says, "Yes it is"

Paddy asks "How do you know?"

Mick replies, "That's my handwriting"

I forgot to put this on..Sorry Kevin...Here we go and will again tomorrow..
