No racing at Cocklebarrow tomorrow either..

Dear Sponsor,

There is nothing so British as talking about the weather, so let me begin!  Yes, that blasted frost has won the day as far as racing is concerned, HOWEVER, we shall not be defeated, and this is what we’re going to do about it!

THE SHOW WILL GO ON this coming Sunday 22nd Jan, but very sadly, we will be without the ponies and horses as it is just way too hard for it to be safe.  However, we’re determined to ensure that doesn’t spoil the fun, so we’re going to have way more dog racing, tough farmer, shopping and general tomfoolery.  It’s going to be a “mad dogs and English men Heythrop countryside event” and you’re going to love it , so please tell all your friends and come along with double the number of people you had originally planned – this is an event NOT TO BE MISSED!

On Sunday 29th January, we are delighted to announce we will be hosting those amazingly talented and patient jockeys who will be bringing their horses and ponies along to a “no frills point to point where you can see all the action.  It is likely we will have a bar, burger van and not a lot else.  The tents may still be standing, but they will not be heated.

Advance tickets bought online / issued by us will be valid for either Sunday, but cannot be used twice.  If you would like some for 29th and intend to come on 22nd, do please email me.  I will sort next week.
