Plus 14 and dry when driving in.

What a great days cricket to watch. Annoying that England did not win, but as a spectacle it was a very special day to be there.

Rain delayed, but when play started the chances of a result swayed both ways until the Australian captain Pat Cummings played a true Captain’s innings and held his team together to bat for a victory.. The stands were full and not many people left before the end.. The saddest sight of the day was seeing empty corporate boxes and their stands.. they could have been used?

Great racing from Royal Ascot. Aiden O’Brien now the most winning trainer in history at the meeting after Paddington won the St James's Palace Stakes.. Notice how the BBC reported this incorrectly..

No David Bass this morning..

Good luck to our owners at Royal Ascot today.. Julie and David Martin and Dan Hall and Norman Carter. They are in the same race The Royal Hunt Cup.
