Plus 12 and dry when driving in.

Rain around yesterday and South Africa just managed to scupper England plans of a white wash in the  3 match ODI series at Lords before it started to rain there. SA won convincingly.

Nick Sutton was in here second lot with his son Ben to ride out. Nick has bought Such A Legend for Ben to ride in point to points next winter so today was a chance for Ben to sit on him.

Tom Bellamy was also in for two lots

Graham Potts our vet was in for his Tuesday visit and this weeks movers and shakers in the weekly BHA handicap charts are..Milord 82 on the flat

Philip and Sandra Arkwight were here late morning to see their horses in the fields and meet our new partnership horse Involve.

Philip and Sandra have shares in the KBRP horses Chateau Robin and Our Belle Amie and the two Racing For Maggies horses Another Venture and Biscuit

Giffords Circus tonight .. Always an amusing way to spend an evening.. Good family fun.

Age catches us all up but it does not help when two of those you grew up watching on TV pass away at good ages. Roger Moore and John Noakes.

Lions test tickets..

This may be of interest to some of you. A friend of mine has two tickets in a corporate box for the final Lions Test in Auckland on 8th July. He paid $1000 each, (incl food & beverages) but what he didn't realise when he bought the tickets some months ago that it was going to be the same day as his wedding.

If you are interested, he is looking for someone to take his place!

It's at the All Saints Church Palmerston North at 2.30pm Sat July 8th .The bride's name is Nicole -- she's 5'8", about 9 stone (57 Kg), quite pretty, has her own income and is a really good cook !

She'll be the one in the white dress!!!!!!!!!
