Minus 2 and and very foggy when driving in.

Well our last runner of 2020 ran well to finish 3rd.. Not beaten far in what was probably a rather good race for Taunton…

Equus Dreamer jumped off more or less in front and was really only headed at the last.. A run with huge promise.. he also won best turned out.

An enjoyable venture out and one that led me, by mistake, to the local Covid testing site (now in the owners and trainers car park that was).. I declined the test on this occasion..

Good to see owners Mark and Melinda Laws and Peter and Fiona Woodhall.. The last viewing of owners for a while I fear… We too are now in tier 4

My one comment of yesterday is why on earth did Taunton have its novice hurdle as the last race rather than the first.. Surely these youngsters deserved the chance of racing on the best ground..The conditional handicap hurdle was the first race and the novice the last.. Not good enough!

That’s 2020 done for us.. There were plenty of good moments on the racecourse and plenty of sorrow off.. What an extraordinary year and I just hope I am not saying similar this time next year.
