Plus 16 and dry when driving in.
The mornings are definitely becoming darker.. as are the evenings..
Equestrian sports.. we are good at them… Team Gold yesterday for our Showjumping team.. Eventing and Showjumping.. take a bow.. Record Golds for England.. The Olympics have been compulsive viewing..
Samatian ran a far better race for the experience at Southwell yesterday. He finished 8th and that was his second run on the flat having run earlier this week.... One more run and he will qualify for a flat race handicap mark.. probably lower than his hurdle rating.. but..
I always enjoy my visits to Martin Jones.. Martin and his daughter Sammy and head girl Megan really do a great job with the horses we send.. they are always well-presented and well mannered..
The horses currently with Martin are..Undercover Lover, Flirtatious Girl, English Willow, Driving Miss D'Azy and the 2 year old by No Risk At All that was bought at Arqana sales 5 weeks ago.. He is is now broken and ridden away and ready to go out to grass..
Saturday morning.
No jockeys here this morning as all are on holiday.. Hence no jumping racing for another 2 weeks..

Chris Flavell was here with his fathwer John to see his KBRS horse Magical Escape.
The end of a long week of racing for the two G's... Goodwood's 5 day festival finishes today, while Galway's 7 day festival have one more day to go..Takes some stamina to do either all days!?
