Mary Dulverton was here second lot to see Heros De Romay work.

We hosted a morning on the gallops booked through CD Tours for Stewart and Heidi Rounce, Helen and Ellie Herniman

I recieved an email from Gary Wynne

''Morning Kim....Awful weather your having, very much the same here unfortunately.

I'm certainly not gloating , but I thought the “participants report for Racing NSW would be interesting to read, especially the Equine Welfare which I know both you and Mrs B have a great interest in.

One of mine has just finished last, in the final race at Cranbourne!!!  Got to love racing!!''

ROR is this country Gary has been with us for many years now and the excellent work they do is well documented as is the latest BHA Campaign . Yes we really do care about our old warriors and ex racehorses and Mrs B spends hours trying to rehome horses to the right person.

Australian Racing on the other hand has suffered huge adververse publicity about their ex racechorses, but they have now come out of the blocks certainly bouncing..

Racing NSW has established a comprehensive Equine Welfare Program to ensure that all NSW Thoroughbreds are provided with a suitable new home when they retire. This program includes:

The 1.5% share of prizemoney deducted to fund equine welfare initiatives, with Racing NSW s the first state to introduce such an initiative..

We all know that Australian prize money is huge compared to ours and now they have started to do the same with their ex racehorses classes.. just click this to read more on Equimillion.. Money certaintly helps..

We have just the one runner over the weekend.. Two For Gold heads to Carlisle tomorrow and for my thoughts please click here.

Never thought of this...

Five out of six people agree that Russian Roulette is safe.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday..
