Plus 12 and dry when driving in. That was a wet weekend..13mm.. Feels very autumnal now..

I went to see Lauren Hawkins in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on Saturday..

On arrival I found Lauren asleep in her chair with her parents Philip and Karen and boyfriend Will all sitting by her bed chatting to her.

Time is the healer and as I have mentioned before Philip and Karen are immensely grateful for all that the IJF has done for them and for keeping them informed.

Hospitals are certainly not my favourite places, and I have seen a few recently but the QEH is huge and spotless and once you know where you are going it works well.

The US Open tennis final was very one sided. Jannic Sinner might look a little weedy and tall but he is some player.

The Paris Paralympics were amazing with huge crowds and Team GB ended in second place and come home with heads held very high.

Cricket.. Sri Lanka on top and look like beating England.. We batted with no regard or respect and collapsed as a  result....

Talking Cricket will be third time lucky for Archie at Lord's today? Hope so..

Monday morning. Fresh horses and a few heading off for minor and what seems to annual wind ops..

This reminds me of my fishing exploits..
