Plus 7 and dry when driving in..Summers gone now..

Mrs B and I went back to Lord’s yesterday to watch the afternoon play in the hope that Archie might make his maiden 50 while batting no11!!..

Not to be as rain stopped play so our trip was not a rewarding one although I did notice that about 16 of the Cheltenham Racecourse staff were having a jolly..Having their photo taken in The Pavillion..

Andre Klein was the first man I saw of the Cheltenham team which included Ian Renton and Megan Furse..Perhaps they were all up to meet their new Chief Executive Guy Lavender?

Mrs B and I might have joined them, but the man on the door would not let Mrs B into the Pavillion because she was wearing trainers..

When I mentioned that I too was wearing trainers the reply was your 'Sir please look, yours are sporting ones'..

I could enter, but not Mrs B..Hence we had to give The Pavillion a miss and sit in the Warner Stand.
