Plus 19 and dry when driving in...A muggy night helped by some rain..
That was a weekend and a half..
Olly Murphy and Camilla Cotton tied the knot on Friday, and then on Saturday Mr and Mrs Murphy hosted a 'party by the lake' back in Wilmcote where they live..
Talk about celebrating a wedding.. it was a long one and a fun one, blessed with great weather and smiley happy guests who danced both nights away..
Dancing was always one of my passions. To say I was good at it would be wrong, and it is only when you watch a video of yourself do you realise that head and shoulder shaking really is not a good look.. You feel that you are winning the moves, but sadly no..
Friday night the packed dance floor had a wee slope on it which did not suit my leather soles.. they slipped, which did not help my confidence when trying my breakdancing moves.... confidence gone, especially with so many younger folk who seemed to know what they were doing.. having said that I did my best..
...but my best was ruined by Gerard Tumelty who either decided that I was either taking his space or perhaps showing him up, so in retaliation he decided that my nose needed attention and tried to screw if off with forefinger and thumb .. not once.. but twice…. Saturday morning, I woke not with a black eye (although someone could have!) but a very red and sore proboscis!
Yesterday and no chance of a rest as it was Mikey Elliot’s turn to celebrate, not his wedding as we did that years ago, but his birthday.. Mikey turned 70 in February and yesterday he decided to celebrate the big 70 with 40 mates at Daylesford.
My first visit to Daylesford.. I am probably the only person in the area who has not been there.. It felt yesterday that everybody in the area was there!
Peace and quiet on a Monday morning..Fully recovered, but no Olympics to watch.. They have been brilliant although hugely time consuming.. Well done Team GB.. Lottery funding has worked..The closing ceremony was far better that the opening one!
We had a couple of guest rider outers this morning which helped the morning pass..Too hot for horses by mid morning..
