Plus 11 and raining when driving in. 7mm...
I drove through heavy rain on the way to Exeter yesterday and when we arrived it was 17 degrees and dry, although the ground was very attritional.
Law Of Supply ran well enough to finish 3rd and hopefully the handicapper will give him a suitable mark next Tuesday.. Chasing next season for him.
I met David Bass half way and we drove down together.. Time to catch up as I had not really had a moment when he or I were free to talk peacefully about last week..
Much to discuss and plenty of useful banter including a quip from DB about his other half Viktoria who went into Bargain Booze to buy a bottle of Chianti Classico.. They asked her for her ID…..
Chuffed she might have been (we would have been) but Vicktoria stuttered 'I am nearly 40.' Safe to say they let her buy the bottle.. History does not relate who for..
Wednesday morning brought in David Bass and Ciran Gethings.
Quiet here today as Maya my PA is away for 48 hours.
Peter Thomas was here late morning..

“What happened Pad ?” she asks anxiously.
“What happened?? I’ll tell you what happened!
I sent an e-mail to my wife telling her I was coming home today from my fishing trip. I get home and guess what I found?
Yes, your daughter, my wife Jean, naked with Joe Murphy in our marital bed! This is unforgivable, the end of our marriage. I’m done. I’m leaving forever!”
“Ah now, calm down, calm down Paddy!” says his mother-in-law. “There is something very odd going on here. Jean would never do such a thing! There must be a simple explanation. I’ll go speak to her immediately and find out what happened.”
Moments later, the mother-in-law comes back with a big smile.
“Paddy. I told you there must be a simple explanation ……..she never got your e-mail!”
