Minus 1 and dry when driving in. Trying to snow...It is going to feel cold all day!
Who suggested that the English weather could be so unpredictable? Southwell’s all-weather meeting was abandoned last night.. snowed off...Warwick goes ahead today although Hexham does not..
Tom Bellamy was in to ride out before heading to Ffos Las..
It probably went unnoticed to most but last week at Cheltenham they announced a new jockeys challenge. The David Power Jockeys Cup..
The David Power Jockeys’ Cup plans to spotlight jockeys as true stars of the sport, bringing fresh excitement to Jumps racing and engaging with a new generation of fans. With big prizes and intense rivalries, this is Jumps racing like never before.
I thought it extraordinary that this huge new pot for the top jockeys was all very hush hush, but perhaps I am wrong, but I really did not know anything about until it was announced.. probably there was a reason as to why I knew little about it, but all the same those top jockeys will now be earning even more.. Good for them, and the top trainers who will probably supply them with their winners.. Stable staff in those yards will benefit and it all goes down to 10th place.
Every incentive to push racing on ITV is helpful but now that you have read it here you might like to post me a comment on what you think about it..

Brendan O'Neill wrote in The Spectator..

Now, for sweet relief, we get men and women in waxed jackets and sensible winter headwear taking to the streets, not to rage against a faraway land but to defend their own land from the grubby taxing of the Labour government.
Now that’s proper protesting. It made me want a warm beer.....To read the rest of the article click here..
Why did the farmer bury his money in a field?
He wanted to make his soil rich..hmmmm!
