Plus 7 and dry when driving in. Foggy.
David Bass was in this morning to ride out two lots before heading to Doncaster.
We jumped Diamond Gait, Minella Warrior, Rose To Fame, Agent Memphis and Two For Gold.
Sarah McKinnis and 8 friends were here for a morning on the gallops and breakfast; a charity auction prize I gave to dinner held at Dumbleton Cricket Ground .. DCG features in this new book Remarkable Village Cricket Grounds.
Winx did it again down under... 31 straight wins and a record 23 Group 1's. Staggering mare.
A few trainers have sent up a few horses from the South but the Northern trainers have not supported this card that well.. Disappointing when you think they have 37 runners for £163,011.00, while Doncaster have 44 for £152,549.00 and Newbury have 84 for £148,513.00.
Mikey Hamill, who is in bed with flu this morning has made the local paper for his Maggies Sponsorship.
I did not know Cumbrian trainer Ken Slack but 51 is too young to go. All our thoughts go to his family.
