Plus 2 and dry when driving in.
Six runners yesterday and no winners.. Not such a good day.
Those Tiger Feet started the day at Ffos Las with a disappointing run… He looked OK for 2 miles but after that he rather petered out. Duke Of Earl, well he is a chaser in the making and hurdles are a stepping stone. Donnie Brasco ran well to finish 3rd.
Wetherby The Bull Mccabe was second, Lord Apparelli 4th and frankly should have done better while Station Master is now retired and this lovely natured horse will have a great life away from racing..
Good Friday and a Bank Holiday. I feel I saw most of the car movements on the way home from Wetherby..Not sure the traffic jams saw the signs above saying stay at home and protect the NHS..
April fools and there were plenty..
My mother in law asked if I would mind housing two donkeys recently bought from Adam Henson.. Could I pick them up and put them in a stable for a couple of days while she readied their paddock…. Of course.. and before you say it.. Yes we have many of their mates here too!
No jump racing today and I am off fishing.. The Wye is open, providing you don’t step into Wales.. Archie and I and Tom and Paddy Clarkson will be rods at the ready!
