Plus 4 and dry when driving in.

Blazon's races are all about how fast they go. Last night they trotted round and sprinted up the straight..He needs a fast gallop and being tied towed into the straight..

Gloucestershire beat Warwickshire in yesterdays T20 at Cheltenham. Archie played and did well.. all in all a very happy day.. No wickets and only one 4 and no 6s! A good line and length..

Appreciated Nick Cook ringing me to see how nervous I was watching Archie Bowl.. Nick suggested more than watching First Flow.. probably right..

Talking cricket.. Summer starts today at Lords.. The First Test against New Zealand..A new Captain and some new members of the squad..Too many empty seats as Lords has over priced their seats..A family of 4 is over £500.. So stupid..

We have 4 runners today at 2 meetings.

I am heading to Uttoxeter and calling in on the way to see Virginia Johnson..Mat is heading to Ffos Las.

Halligator and Shinobi run at Uttoxeter while Ami des Flots and The Bull McCabe run at Ffos Las. For my thoughts on their chances please click here.

Being typically BRITISH:

Watching with quiet sorrow as you receive a different haircut to the one you requested, whilst nodding approvingly as they hold the mirror up behind you, to show you what you can not see at the back.

Being unable to pay for something with the exact change without saying “I think that’s right”

Starting a controversial statement with “I’m not being funny, but...”

Overtaking someone on foot and having to keep up the uncomfortably fast pace until safely over the horizon

Being unable to turn and walk in the opposite direction without first taking out your phone and frowning at it

Deeming it necessary to do a little jog over zebra crossings, while throwing in an apologetic mini wave

To finish .. You are all welcome to come upto Thorndale to watch the Beacon lighting.. Party time on Withington Hill..

And finally.. Happy birthday to Paul Kellar..
