Plus 8 and dry when driving in.
My afternoon yesterday was spent watching Archie play cricket for Dumbleton against Cheltenham at Forcester.. It was good game and the right team won..
I have to say that I have been to a few grounds and although Dumbleton is brilliant Forcester is not bad either.. wonderfully social pavilion..
Archie heads back to school on Thursday so that is the summers cricket done .. unless his school puts a few matches.
It only seems like last week that we were welcoming in the month of August and here we are now in September.. It has flown.
Racing ended the month with a really interesting story.. One that hit most of the papers and even the BBC highlighted the story on all it news programmes..
Scandal? Not terribly sure, but something has certainly been going on behind closed doors… There have been allegations of gross misconduct…. Proper Dick Francis stuff and I am sure this will run a while longer and more facts will emerge..The Racing Post is all over it today
This weeks mover and shaker in the BHA handicap chats was Arthurs Sixpence who went down 2 to 120.
Graham Potts our vet was in for his Tuesday visit.
We have one runner today at Newton Abbott. Chazza runs there and for my thoughts on his chances please click here
