Plus 6 and dry when driving in.

Not what I had expected.. Chazza fell when in front 3 from home..He is OK this morning

Disappointing that Newton Abbot only allowed two owners badges per horse last night (most now allow 4 or 6).. I am sure there is a reason i.e lack of space but..

Alan and Sally James were our KBRP representatives at the course and this email popped through my in box last night..

''Just home from NA and Sally and I had a great day, obviously notwithstanding Chazza having a nasty fall.

The whole experience was considerably better than we expected. Very helpful staff, an owner’s bar and restaurant, with free food and drinks, a balcony overlooking the parade ring and the stand open for viewing the race.

Such a shame about Chazza who was happily bowling along in front and appeared to be thoroughly enjoying himself. It was difficult at the time to see exactly what happened at the fateful hurdle, but having watched the replay, it would appear that he stood on the hurdle.

As ever we must your compliment you and your staff for the great communication and professionalism. Information from yourself almost immediately after the race with reassurance of Chazza’s well being, a phone call from Peter Kerr to make sure we were OK and Leigh (traveling head girl) sought us out later to give us a report.. Very good indeed.''

The racecourse do take a photo of every horse and send it to the owner.. we had one when we were last there

Ciaran Gething and Chester Williams were here this morning. We worked some and jumped Mr Grey Sky, Mon Palois, Rhosneigr, Talk Of Fame, Dansant Express and Shantou Express.

The two jockeys were not here too long as racing at Uttoxeter starts early.. Like the middle of winter??

Mary Dulverton was here second lot to see her horses perform..Talk Of Fame, Sammeo, Sayadam, Happygolucky, Inawhilecrocodile, Newtide and True Glory.

Third lot John and Pat Lee were here to see their KBRP horses Does He Know, Galante De Romay and Voyburg..

The Delia Bushell story continues and the next extract made interesting reading in yesterdays The Times..

We have four runners today at Uttoxeter. Shinobi, Sadlermor, Rose To Fame and Grey Felix and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

A family was visiting an Indian reservation when they happen upon an old tribesman laying face down in the middle of the road with his ear pressed firmly against the blacktop.

The father of the family asked the old tribesman what he was doing.

The tribesman began to speak... "woman, late thirties, three kids, one barking dog in late model, Four door station wagon, traveling at 65 m.p.h."

"That's amazing" exclaimed the father. "You can tell all of that by just listening to the ground"?

"No", said the old tribesman. "They just ran over me five minutes ago!"

To finish.. Happy birthday to one of our newest members of staff. Ebony Christopher..
