Sometimes this racing game gets to you, probably for all the wrong reasons and when you have a spate of unsatisfactory results you wonder.. Yesterday Subway Surf added to that list.
Going round evening stables last night the horses look so well and contented.. perhaps too contented!.. Suddenly it will turn and then.. well soon I hope..otherwise Mat will not been needing a barber..
Karrie Fanshawe was a guest rider outer this morning.. I bought First Flow from her some years ago..Actually Karrie bought him as an unbroken 3 year old.. Good judge..
Busy here this morning.. 9 members of the Grapevine Syndicate were here second lot to see their horse Starvoski perform up the gallops.. Breakfast after.
Nicholas and Cherry Jones were here with their stud groom Hanni to see Inca Rose.. also second lot.
Third lot David and Julie Martin were here to see their horses Ajero, Peaked Too Soon, the Mahler/Emily Gray gelding and Pay The Pilot.
Graham Potts our vet was in and this weeks movers and shaker in the BHA handicap charts were..Blazon down 1 on the flat to 69, Ajero down 2 top 135, Getaweapon down1 to 114, One For Rosie down 2 to 147, Pipesmoker down 4 to 127 and Shinobi down 2 to 108.
Thank you for all the lovely messages re Vinndication. He has had loads of offers as you might expect .. Mrs B is in charge of finding that really suitable home..
The vagaries of the weather.. After all the recent rain Wincanton is still only good ground, and they might have to help it by the weekend to keep it that way!!
