Plus 3, very foggy and dry when driving in.
Firstly can I thank all my owners who either rang, sent texts or emailed to show support for having horses here and the way their horses are looked after. They all said .. Great staff and happy horses…
Talking great staff and happy horses, we do have many of the former this morning as they will have less to ride out as we have..
David Bass, Chester Williams, Ciaran Gethings, Harry Beswick and Jimmy (Son of Henry) Daly all here to ride out. Plenty of horses to work and Videos here later..Might not see a video due to fog! First Lot, Second Lot
We jumped Design Icon, El Presente, Espoir De Romay, First Flow, Gerard Mentor, Happygolucky, Hes No Trouble, Hollymount Holly, Imperial Aura, Java Point, Minella Warrior, Party Fuzz, Prince Llywelyn, Shantou Express, Subway Surf, Vinndication, Voyburg and Younevercall.
The Cheltenham Festival in two weeks time.. and on that note I was zoomed from the racecourse to discuss the hugely anticipated handicap weights with Oli Bell. What used to be a press day/lunch now a coffee and zoom morning....Not quite the same?
Probably a good thing we don’t have a runner today as I would mighty unpopular not to be around today.... 20 years of matrimonial bliss to celebrate…. This year with a take out from the restaurant we normally celebrate in!!.. Archie with us to celebrate as school starts for him again next week.
My wife at her high school reunion, and she kept staring at a drunk swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked her, "Do you know him?"
"Yes", she sighed, he's my old boyfriend. He began drinking right after we split up years ago, and hasn't been sober since."
"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"
And then the fight started...
