Plus 6 and dry when driving in.

There was rain in places yesterday but that looks like it for the week.

We started the new season where we left off with a second at Warwick. It was expected and rightly placed to do so with a worthy favourite winning the race. Nicely Indeed would not be the easiest and yesterday he nearly deposited his rider Mikey Hamill at the first. It went down as the recovery of the season.. in the first race of..Click here to view

Over at Kempton Gallery Exhibition showed the effects of a hard race there two weeks ago and will now head out to grass and a holiday. Veteran races for him now.

A lovely day in Essex.. Clare met members of my family she had not before..

Philip Smedley was here with his sister, Angie Nile, third lot to see the Racing For Maggies horses Another Venture and Biscuit and his KBRP horse Monrocco. Darren Smith was also here to see his KBRP horse Monrocco

Martyn and Sandra Steer Fowler were here third lot to see Pulling Power, You’re a Lady and their recent Chepstow winner Such A Legend,

Late morning Keith and Liz Ellis were here to see Abbreviate. Keith and Liz had their first visit to Punchestown last week and just loved it.. why wouldn't you?

This weeks movers and shakers in the BHA charts are..Trojan Star down 1 to 103, Abbreviate down 1 to 129, Harry Topper down 1 to 142, Jimmy The Jetplane down 1 to 135 while Such A Legend goes up 1 to 124 and Thumb Stone Blues goes up 3 to 133.

Horses being turned out to grass now on a daily basis. Holiday time..

I have not heard from Garry Liptrop for a while.. Anyway he is back..
