Plus 8 and dry when driving in. Frankly it feels like a winters morning.

Martyn and Elaine Booth called in last night to see their horse Mr Brinkley out in the field. The horses were cold and as a result were playing around and very muddy. They behaved like young kids playing around in mud.. Luckily Mr Brinkley was well behaved and appreciated a visit from his owners.

Thursday and our easy day for those still in.. Not that many now. We have no runners today. Kerry Bellamy my PA is away in Majorca for a few days.. Office closed!

Graham Potts our vet was in this morning for his weekly visit a few days late. Poor chap has shingles..

I am not the worlds greatest form expert when it comes to flat racing, even if we have had 4 winners this season..But it is a case that this years Derby looks incredibly open. Who is going to win?

To me there is no stand out horse and now that the prize money has been boosted by 4 horses being supplemented.. a brave shout at £75,000.00.. it has become a very valuable race.

Ed Dunlop's  Red Verdon at 25/1 ticks my box, he looks to be improving very fast.

We have a new owner of the month.. John Stanley.. read all about him by clicking here..

This makes intersting reading.. The BHA have learnt a lesson? A bit late..

One night, an 87-year-old woman came home from Bingo to find her 92-year-old husband in bed with another woman. She became violent and ended up pushing him off the balcony of their 20th floor apartment, killing him instantly.

Brought before the court, on the charge of murder, she was asked if she had anything to say in her defense.

'Your Honour,' she began coolly, 'I figured that at 92, if he could screw, he could fly.'
