Plus 7 and dry when driving in.

September is here, autumnal and jersey on for the first time in a while...

Monday morning and a quieter one than normal as all the horses had their flu vaccinations on Saturday and we always give them a few quieter days after.. Some horses react to these injections .. Yes like humans..

Sandie Wilkinson back from her family holidays is Cornwall and all the staff now back as are a few more horses.

Martin Kiely’s Owbeg arrived over from Ireland yesterday morning. Martin has pre trained his own horse.

Quentin Bevan’s Fubar returned from Lucy Jackson where he has been in pre training and Mark and Melinda Laws Shanacoole Prince returned from doing his pre training with Phil Rowley.

September brings the Racing Post back into the fold by heading the front page with jumping news. Altior match with Cyrname at Ascot.. Exciting..

Looking ahead to this coming weekend as there are two big local events.

Moreton Show on Saturday.

Mary Dulverton and I are judging the Supreme Horse Championship and The Supreme Pony Championships.. New territory for me as I have never judged before!.. Those wanting to watch me make a fool of myself then it will take place in the Dulverton ring late afternoon…

On Sunday there is Frampton Show.. I have never been but it is reputed to be one to go to.. Whatever there are two huge local events.

The Last Samuri and my daughter Pandora did well on Saturday when they went clear in a show jumping class.. TLS seems to really enjoying his new life.

Sandra Arkwright has reminded me..20 facts.. more later in the week..

Now that I'm older, here's what I've discovered:
