Plus 16 and drizzling when driving in.
Shinobi was very good yesterday at Uttoxeter. He produced a smooth performance to win going away.
Ciaran Gething was riding his first winner for us and it was also Shinobi’s first run over hurdles after showing distinct promise last season in bumpers.
As you know Ciaran rides out here and with David Bass on the side-lines it is only right and fair that he should have the chance to ride the horses until DB is back.
Ciaran had a good ride which can't be said for Chester Williams who was unseated by a jinxing Sadlermor.. Sadlermor obviously knew it was last chance saloon and he has certainly kicked the swinging doors with vengeance ..He now looks for a new career outside racing..
We did not run Rose To Fame as the ground had gone soft and she wants fast .. Martin and Steve Broughton made the long trip from London to watch her, so it was hugely disappointing to have to send them home without watching their horse run..It was the right call.. There will be other days.
Grey Felix ran well enough in what was a very slow run bumper.. he will have learnt a great deal and will come on for the experience.
Talking experience.. I went as an owner yesterday to Uttoxeter and give them their due it was not a bad experience.. they certainly tried, and we enjoyed our day.

Those who could not make it..Jane Beyts, Fenella Tillier, Brian Brisco, Ian Brotherton, Ron Brotherton, Charles Atkinson, Liz Humphrey, Sue Maine and Susan Taylor..
It goes to show that Peter Kerr and his KBRP is a great way to start or become involved again in racehorse ownership..Please ring Peter for the latest information on his new KBRP horses..all very exciting
This morning we worked The two unnamed Schiaparelli youngsters, Flirtatious Girl and The Bull Mccabe
Iain and Angie Bell were here second lot to see their KBRP horses Lord Apparelli and Voyburg
Paul and Didi Joslin were here third lot to see their KBRP horse Shantou Express.
Mat is heading to Ireland later today .. Imperial Racing are hosting and holding an open day at Kevin Ross’s stables tomorrow .. Ian Robinson organises this annual get together of all his jumpers and it gives a chance for the share holders to meet up and enjoy.. Parading will be Imperial Aura, Imperial Icon and Imperial Hurricane.
