Plus 3 and dry when driving in.

Driving in was not so easy this morning as we had a fair few trees down, blocking minor roads. Ivy strangles trees and then Storm Freya blows them over.

Another winner yesterday. Good news..

Station Master gave Penny Perriss a welcome tonic by wining the novice chase at Huntingdon yesterday. It was basically a three horse race and all three were closely matched on ratings and they finished as they should, with barely a length between them.

Arthurs Sixpence showed that his recent wind op had made a difference when finishing second in the novice hurdle .. he was beaten a fair way, but it was still a better performance.

Rose To Fame certainly fluffed her lines when it came to jumping hurdles. I don’t believe I have ever schooled a horse as much as I have with her at home, but yesterday she looked as if she had never seen a hurdle before. Frustrating as she has the ability.

Saturday at Doncaster Rockys Treasure really did not enjoy their firm ground. The ground changed over night from good to good to firm and he jumped right off it.

We took Vinndiation and Wandrin Star to Newbury early yesterday morning and sadly I was not happy with the way Vinndication went, so Cheltenham for him this year will be missed. So frustrating for all his owners. He is a still a weak and immature horse and it is showing. Ther will be other big days for him.

Monday morning and bar the fact that we have two runners leaving for Southwell it was a quite morning.. Our only visitor was Freya (not the storm this time); yes Freya Trotter was here to help with a few issues and thoughts about the Racing Manager.

On the whole the new Racing Manager app has gone down well with those using it. Funnily enough the only criticism received is the fact that it takes away the personal touch i.e. direct Sunday emails or voices texts.. But those emails and voices texts still come down through the app from me in the same way, but in a different format.. I will always listen to what my owners say about it..

As mentioned earlier we have two runners at Southwell Those Tiger Feet and Mon Palois and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

A thief entered a house mid-afternoon.

He tied up the woman and at knife-point asked the man to hand over the jewelry and money.

The man started sobbing and said, “You can take anything you want. You can kill me. But please untie the rope and free her.”

Thief: “You must really love your wife!”

Man: “No, but she will be home shortly”.
