Minus 2 at Thorndale

Well the bandwagon lost a wheel at Ludlow.

Bobhopeornohope looked to be running well until making a mistake at the second in the back straight which knocked his chances..

Thruthelookinglass ran well to finish 3rd. Handicapped for winning a race he did not. Yesterday probably 3 to showed his mark was on the high side. Anyway this good looking son of Kayf Tara will only improve.

Tuesday morning brings in a vet visit and this weeks movers and shakers in the BHA handicap charts were..General Hubble down 2 to 80, Mikhailovich down 3 to 100, Phantom Getaway down 1 to 123, Starvoski down 1 to 94 and Top Target down 1 to 120..

The staff and nurses here are brilliant and a special mention to Maisey Bond who ECG'd me and put lines into my arm..Maisey used to work in racing for John O'Shea..

Thankfully mobile phones work in my temporary holiday home, but their Wi-Fi blocks gambling sites which include the Racing Post and Racing TV!! 4G a must.

Not since my 20s have I had less sleep. This holiday is all about late nights and early mornings and although no discos although there is plenty going on.

My bed similar to lying in business class and the noises of fellow travellers not quite as loud as Ryanair stag party revellers, but thankfully the nasal noises blocked out by my in flight ear plugs and light by eye mask.

Lizzie Wills and son James called by with grapes and The Field. They were in the hospital picking up Ian who had an operation that morning.

No runners today

Happy birthday to KBR owner Fiona Woodhall..
