Plus 14 and dry when driving in.. We did have rain overnight.
Yesterday was not all about Andy Murray being beaten at Wimbledon but all about the Potts wedding..

Ludlow racecourse supplied the tent.. appropriate as Graham is their resident vet
Graham and Jackie looked so happy and it was certainly a day to celebrate two very happy people who are so looking forward to enjoying the rest of their life together.
Graham gave a very emotional speech, while his two best men spent the best part of 45 minutes giving him the preverbal abuse about his bachelor life and his ability to sort rugby tickets round the world.... bewigged as two barristers they took him to court!
The sun shone,the weather held, and sadly we left the party in full swing..
The only disappointment was the seating.. but you can't chose your company..
The owner of Ivy Lodge Farm was in full flow and very happy with his performance as official car park attendant.. as you could have imagined some cars had to wait for others to leave before going home….
It was seriously good day, and a very happy occasion..
No jockeys in today. Ciaran Gethings away and David Bass recovering from his operation..
David has had the metal plate holding his collar bone taken out, and he says he feel far better for it being out.. He will be back riding out later this month.
Big day for England if you are into the football.. of course even I will be watching and hoping. More good tennis to follow and then you have the racing side at Sandown .. The four horse Eclipse.. disappointing field, but an intriguing one all the same.
We have no runners over the weekend and will not have any for the next 10 days or so..
The horses in the fields are having their last week on holiday as the flies are really starting to annoy them .. have you ever had a horse fly attack you.. you too would not stand still.. bloody annoying things..
Overheard last night..
During a heartfelt chat with her friend about relationships, Jane sighed and said, “You know, if something happened to Chris, I don’t think I could ever marry again.”
Her friend nodded sympathetically. “I know what you mean,” she said. “Once is enough.”
This made me laugh..
A wife is scrambling eggs when her husband bursts into the kitchen.
“Careful,” he cries. “Careful! You’re cooking too many at once. Too many! Scramble them! Now! We need more butter. They’re going to stick! Careful! Now scramble them again! Hurry up! Are you crazy? Don’t forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. Use the salt! The salt!”
The wife turns and asks, “What is wrong with you?”
Her husband calmly replies, “I wanted to show you what it feels like when I’m driving.”
