Plus 9 and dry when driving in

David Bass, Tom Bellamy, Nick and Ben Sutton were in this morning and we worked a few.. A video can be seen here.

Anne, Adrian, Hugh James and Jane Waters were all here for a Morning on the gallops followed by Breakfast.. A charity auction prize.

Sadly or luckily, which ever suits, but this mornings guests were short of my company as I left here during breakfast to drive to Bangor with a  horse in tow..

Thinking breakfast .. we are heading to the end of British Food fortnight.. Worth looking at their web site..

We have three runners today at Bangor.. Monrocco, Champion Chase and Ben Arthur.. The last two run in the same race which is annoying, but both need to qualify for handicap chases which means they have to run in a novice first before they are allowed to.. Anyway for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

Bangor is a very go ahead racecourse and their owners facilities are outstanding. Hence they have been shortlisted for the owner experience award..

We had supper last night with mates Mikey and Ginny Elliot.. Supper reminded me of this Tommy Cooper story…

"I had a meal last night. I ordered everything in French, surprised everybody; it was a Chinese restaurant.

I said to this Chinese waiter, 'Look, this chicken I got here is cold.'

He said, 'It should be; it's been dead two weeks.'

I said, 'Not only that,' I said. I said... I said it twice, I said, 'He's got one leg shorter than the other.'

He said, 'What do you wanna do with it, eat it or dance with it?'

I said, 'Forget the chicken; give me a lobster. And he brought me this lobster. I said, 'Just a minute, he's only got one claw.'

He said, 'Well he's been in a fight.'

I said, 'Well give me the winner.'"

Happy birthday to Nick Cheyne

To finish we have a new owner of the month.. Read all about John Battershall
