Plus 5 and dry when driving in. It was certainly wet last night.

Birmingham Football Club. My first visit, not for football, but for a 888sports Cheltenham Preview evening, compared by Derek Thompson.

Fellow panellists were Richard Pugh, Brian Hughes, Ben Brookhouse who replaced the flu ridden Ian Williams, that is what assistants do, and finally Adam Courtney from the sponsors..

4 days of Cheltenham covered and every race.. Mixed in with a local curry.. Yes there were people there, all 180 of them. Actually a fun night..even if the drive was not.

Thursday is our easy day although we worked Flemensfirth filly out of Dorabelle and Cotteemcavennigoal 

The Last Samuri has retired. The old boy deserves a great life after ring. He will never be forgotten here.. we loved him and he now has a fabulous new home where he will be treasured and loved forever..My daughter Pandora is thrilled to be having him in his retirement and will be doing ROR and other forms of discipline that these old boys love.

I am doing two.. at 6pm I am on a panel with Alastair Down at Cheltenham racecourse from the local radio station BBC Radio Gloucestershire and then off to the Cheltenham Ladies College to join Ed Chamberlin, Bruce Millington  Richard Phillips and Richard Hoiles.. All in aid of Charity Well Child.. An evening sponsored by CELEBLOTTO and Cheltenham-based jewellers Martin & Co.

Mat heads North to Newcastle where he along with Fergal, Paul Carberry, James Griffin and Ian Robinson will be put under the spotlight by Gordon Brown (not the ex PM) at what is billed as Newcastle's Number One Cheltenham Preview night..Mat is staying overnight.

A lady was picking through the frozen turkeys at the grocery store but she couldn't find one big enough for her family.

She asked a stock boy, ' Do these turkeys get any bigger?'

The stock boy replied, 'No ma'am, they're dead...'

The police officer got out of his car as the kid who was stopped for speeding rolled down his window. 'I've been waiting for you all day,' the officer said.

The kid replied, Yeah, well I got here as fast as I could.'

When the cop finally stopped laughing, he sent the kid on his way without a ticket.
