Plus 3 and dry when driving in

David Bass and Ciaran Gething in to ride out.

The good news and at long last the Gallop Camera is now working again.. I will be able to watch what’s going on.. will Mat be driving or walking up I wonder?

Some good news

Really pleased to read that Dashel Drasher has rightly been restored to second place in this years Stayers Hurdle..He is such a tough verstile horse who Two For Gold nabbed on the line in last years Fleur De Lys Chase at Lingfield.

Shock horror last night my mobile data ran out on my mobile phone.. suddenly I realised how important it was.  Nothing worked!

The dread of trying to get through and spend time talking to Vodaphone to sort was not something to cherish. Thankfully I had time on my hands (prefer not to have) and 80 minutes later I was back on line with unlimited data for a month.. rather hope I don’t need more than a month?

Eddie Hales sent the photo of the Lambourn Cricket Team. I can't recall the game but has to assume or hope that we had just beaten Newmarket.. always a needle match.. the golden days when Sundays were a day of rest and no racing..

David Arbuthnot, KCB, Chris Bealby, Eddie Hales, Kim Brassey and Willie Muir.

Squatting from the right

Bobby McKeown,Oliver Sherwood, Charlie Mann, Steve Knight, Simon McNeill and Guy Roberts

Off early to Cheltenham for a scan and biopsy this morning.. . I just pray they have been pouring the right anti biotics into me!?

To finish. Thanks Mike Horne (Daily blog reader) for sending what looks to be two very amusing cricketing books.. 'Fibber in the Heat' by Mikes Jupp and Michael Parkinson's 'Bats in the Pavilion'.. I played a couple of charity games with Michael many years ago including one at The Oval. The latter organised and Captained by Jeremy Deedes..

Last nights visitor..
