Ther wer Plus 15 and dry when driving in.

There is noise back in the yard again.. Weeks of silence now over..we again have horses heads popping out over stable doors when walking through the barn nearest to my office.

Yesterday we brought in Another Venture, Aliandy, Biscuit, Blazon, Cacaye, Champion Chase, Chateau Robin, Commadore Barry, Cresswell Legend, Dandy dan, Diamnond Gait, Doctor Haze, Early Learner, El Presente, Glenforde, Monrocco, Our Belle Amie, Red River, Silver Kayf and Trojan Star.

Our blacksmiths were here all day shoeing and repairing feet from the horses summer break. I am always keen to leave off shoes when the horse are out at grass in the hope that they will grow and harden.

The horses will now be wormed, blood tested and gradually brought back into full work so by the end of this week all will be back under saddle.

Yesterday afternoon Mat and I went over to see the horses that Martin Jones and his team are breaking in. All four look well and are progressing in the right way.

Then we moved up the road to see Billy Elliott who is summering with his owners Nikki Heath and Les Garside-Beattie.. Stunning view from their house overlooking Bredon Hill..

Back home via Winchcombe and we called in to see David and Julie Martin’s 4 year old Black Sam Bellamy gelding that Frankie Price is riding round.

I am in London today attending the ROA meeting and lunch..The AGM will be streamed and can be watched by logging onto their web site..

There were no movers or shakers in this weeks BHA handicap charts..
