Doncaster or Goffs Sales yesterday was busy.

High prices for some of the Potensis dispersal sale horses with Jesbers Dream making the top price of £190,000.00.. This was the second time that a 130 odd plus hurdle rated mare has made that sort of money. In May Oliver Sherwood sold The Organist for £260,000.00.. Good for the sport to see these good Jump mares making big money.

Magic Money and Crazy Jack the two horses we sold, both made £10,000.00. Magic Money was bought to go breeding but could run again before, while Crazy Jack has gone pointing and hunter chasing.

It was a huge catalogue yesterday and a very long day.. For those who have never been to these sales there is no tarmac in the yards; the ground is hard cored with a cinder type covering and with yesterdays wind and sun the dust is terrible.

Anyway I did not add to our string, even if I tried.

We worked a few this morning.

David Shuttle was here this morning to see the horses. Peter Kerr was here too.

Jason Maguire called in third lot to see Paul and Clare Rooney’s horses.

Sad to see in yesterday Racing Post that Robin Gray and Dan Abbott had died. Two good men who loved their racing.

Robin was a hugely respected commentator and journalist while Dan was an owner with Peter Walywn and others who helped set up, with Peter, The Lambourn Trainers federation.

Both lived for and loved their racing. Dans racing albums were much sort after.

Interesting days cricket yesterday.. Today will be even more interesting. England will need some quick wickets.. The pitch could help.

Back and forth . . . . back and forth . . . .

In and out . . .. . in and out . . . . A little to the right . . . . a little to the left . . . .

Her heart was pounding now . . . .Her face was flushed . . . .

She moaned . . . . softly at first, then began to groan louder . . . .

Finally . . . . totally exhausted . . . .. she let out a piercing scream . . . .

She shouted . . . .. :

"OK, OK, you smug bastard, I can't parallel park . . . .
