Plus 8 and dry when driving in.
Clare and I spent yesterday afternoon fishing on the Wye at Bigsweir.
This summer has not been good for my fishing..I have hardly been on my timeshare all season, but it was good to spend a few hours in the water, and on the bank.
Both dogs enjoying their freedom and talking of freedom, no mobile phone reception..
Sadly conditions were not ideal and the water was not right after recent rain.
Mat tells me that I cannot use the words to describe what the water conditions were like yesterday..
Suffice to say that those eagle eyed salmon could not see my fly and as a result the only fish we saw yesterday was on our plate on the way home.. excellent it was too.. ..
Mats trip to Ireland was good and I believe he behaved.. well Steve Winter said he did..
Yes Imperial Racing held their annual open day at Kevin Ross’s ..Imperial Aura apparently looks a monster.. He and Imperial Icon (who also looks well) should be back here next week.
Ciaran Gething and Chester Williams were in this morning.. we worked plenty and jumped a couple..
No owners or guests here this morning..
We do though have a couple of runners today at Stratford. Shantou Express and Grey Flint head there and for my thoughts on their chances please click here…
I am going racing as a trainer today although we have a fair turn out of owners..no spare badges which means I cannot entertain my team..
It has not been a good week for racing.. But today the great Enable has her Arc trial at Kempton.... Lets enjoy and celebrate
