0 degrees and dry when driving in.
Blimey another bumper winner..
Prince Llywellyn won well yesterday at Wetherby.
Peter Bennett-Jones’s huge son of Schiaparelli was given as good a ride as you will see from the front by David Bass.
This lovely chestnut gelding ran a race full of promise at Ascot when second there before Christmas and yesterday he showed that that experience had done him good as David was positive from the front..
Hardly headed he had to fight it out to win by a neck.. It looked a very strong bumper and frankly we were delighted..this horse has a very bright future.
It was our first winner for Peter and his first horse here. A big thank you to his son Bertie who probably persuaded Peter to do so...
There are very few better jockeys than David Bass when it comes to front running.. he has a good race brain and a big clock in his head. He so deserves more rides from other stables.
Great photo from Wetherby..Official Photographers..
Abbreviate was disappointing and should have finished far closer.. Frustrating.
Talking David Bass.. he was in this morning and able to be here to ride work as he has no rides today. Jonjo O’Neil junior also in for two lots.
We have one runner today at Kempton. All weather racing and Blazon runs under the lights and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.
Mat away today.. Having a day out at Chelsea with Keith Eliis.. Chelsea play Forest..Mat supports Forest..
Talking Chelsea.. I received this email last night from Chelsea Joy..
'Hi Kim

No doubt you're desperate for good to soft for a ready made excuse.
