Minus 4 and dry when driving in.

Another second for John Perriss.. John mentioned to me that we had broken the trend of being second by finishing 4th with Lots Of Luck, but then a bit later Getaweapon was second..

It was a tough call to run her again quickly but on paper it looked the right one and we all agreed it was worth trying, but we failed... By just over a length.. Tough mare..and both are fine this morning..

Yesterdays blog was up early as usual and it was only a matter of minutes before Richard Chugg text to say that it was still three weeks to Christmas.. Yes you guessed it.. I called it December not January..

Then my email box pinged with this from Roger Hart..

I see you have mastered time travel and taken us forward by 11 months.

Not sure I like what I see, Covid still rampant but no lockdown, the NHS are still in crisis and none of the ongoing BHA disciplinary actions appear to have come to any conclusion.

This does not bode well and I just hope the HWPA lunch is on today. Thinking about it that could easily be the situation as we approach Christmas 2022.

Its like a dream with no mention of your runners today at Musselburgh so assume they are certainties. Cheltenham & Aintree are a blur as was the Flat season.

Looking forward to 2023.
