Plus 5, dry and windy when driving in

Dry, yes dry.. Hard to believe when we have had such  a hard/wet winter.

Shantou Express hated the faster ground at Haydock on Saturday; he has had a busy season and has run on all sorts and types of ground.. Saturday just might have been one race too many for this promsing young horse.. while Subway Surf ran a blinder yesterday at Market Rasen.. but finished second.

Family day for the Bailey’s which included going to Withington Church.. Followed by lunch with Clare brother's Michael and his family.. outside.. it was a lovely day.

Archie on Saturday played his first game of cricket of the summer for Dumbleton and won..

A typical Bank Holiday ?

Monday morning and we had visitors..

Stewart, Bev and Jack Wright here to see their KBRS horses Tantoli and Wild Presentation

Ian and Jo Brotherton to see their KBRS horses Vinndication , Arthurs Sixpence, Tantoli, Shinobi and Subway Surf

Joseph Vallint to see his KBRS horse Percy Veering

Graham Potts our vet was in to scope potential Aintree horses.

We have one runner today at Chepstow..Aliandy heads there and for my thoughts please click here...

Aliandy is now a non runner due to drying and fast ground..

Richard Johnson retired on Saturday. A true hero and a wonderful ambassador to our sport. Champion jockey and just a lovely man.

Sadly unless I missed it, his retirement failed to make the sports news on BBC!

Richard might like this..As do we all..

I've seen better days, but I've also seen worse.

I don't have evertything that I want, but I do have all I need.

I woke up with some aches and pains, but I woke up.

My life may not be perfect but I am blessed.
