My trip To Hawks bats with Archie to replace his broken one was an abortive one as the traffic was so bad on the M5 that after two hours on the road I turned round on the M50 and headed back down South where he was playing a T20 game at Frocester last night..
A stunning cricket ground on what was a perfect summers evening. Hard to believe that there was no play at Lord’s and the ground at Epsom had gone soft due to the amount of rain they had all day. We were blessed with sun all day.
The rather aptly named Snowfall slaughter the Oaks field and gave Aiden O’Brien his 40th British Classic equalling the 185 year old record set by John Scott.. Frankie Dettori drew level with Fred Archie on 21 Classics.. I actually hope he will add another today on John Leeper today in the Derby.
David Bass and Cirian Gethings were in this morning.
We have two runners today at Worcester and two tomorrow at Perth.. Commodore Barry and Guerlain Bellevue head to Worcester and Talk Of Fame and El Presente head to Perth. For my thoughts please click here.
I am heading north after Worcester and then Perth tomorrow and then onto Ireland on Monday for the 4 days of Goffs sales.. The Landrover two day section being part of it.
