0 degrees and dry when driving in.

Mat and I flew in and we flew out of Ireland  yesterday. Loads of driving and half a dozen horses seem..One might be joining us?

The roads in Ireland are a revelation from the good old days and driving South from Dublin meant we could do our journey in one day rather than two.. Shannon and Cork don't have that many flights during the winter months so trying to do a flying day visit means flying into Dublin.

Tom Bellamy was in to ride out a couple of losts this morning.

Paul and Elizabeth Kellar were here second lot to see Elizabeth’s new horse Mon Palois canter.

Johnny Buckingham’s funeral is at St Peter and St Paul Church, Chipping Warden at 12.30pm.

I grew up seeing JB riding out for my father and later in life he valeted for jockeys and 'looked after me' when I had a ride or two (no joke) and the same when my son Harry had a ride at Cheltenham.

Johnny was the kindest man you could meet and one of the most helpful. He gave so much help and enjoyed his working life within racing.

JB will be forever remembered for his Grand National winning ride on Foinavon.

Racing at Ludlow has been frozen off.. So no runners today..

This proves you should never trust your mate..
