Plus 10 and raining when driving in. It was a rough night and looks like a wet weekend ahead.
Of the nearly 3k who read my blog yesterday only Melinda Wilson commented that yesterdays date was incorrect..January not December.. And I believe she is on holiday in Queensland!!
Ludlow had some great racing yesterday although Wandrin Star did not add to any excitement…. 12 years old and a younger breed catching up with him and no suitable veteran races… A new life beckons..
David Bass and Ciaran Gething were in this morning... Bassy and I were hardly here as the first at Wincanton was early and as you well know it is my least favourite journey to the races.
Kai Lenihan was riding out this morning.. the first since his horrid fall at Taunton.
It was so dark this morning.. First lot was a black out and wet. We jumped Rose and Thistle, Imperial Hurricane, Galaxy Moon, Design Icon, Faerie Cutlass and Parc d@Amour.. I almost had to drive up besides them with the headlights on so that they could see!
Gary and Tracy Betley were here third lot to see their KBRS horse Phantom Getaway.
Mat away for the weekend
We have two runners today at Wincanton and two tomorrow at Chepstow.

We are looking for a part time tractor driver and handy person for the yard.. we are looking for somebody with tractor driving ability to harrow gallops and take away the muck heap. General yard duties including maintenance... If the applicant were to live locally that would be a huge help.
We had a person apply yesterday who was keen to do the job but when asked about his tractor driving skills he said he had never sat in one!
