Plus 15 and dry when driving in..Foggy up here but it burnt off to be a very hot one..
Stratford last night was warm and muggy.
Rose To Fame disappointed as her wind stopped her when she entered the back straight.
These wind operations are good when first done but seem to wear off.. She will now need another in the hope that it helps.. it should.
Nicholas and Cherry Jones and Stephen Broughton made the journey to the races.. I think it was all their first days racing since Cheltenham.. a bit different to say the least.
After leaving Stratford I called in to see my mate and bloodstock agent Aiden Murphy .. and to see if he is venturing to Ireland next week.. which he is not.. wise..The Goffs Landrover Sale will survive without either of us I am sure.
Phil Andrews was here mid morning along with Stuart and Luce Ballantyne.. Stuart is involved in two KBRP horses.. Arthurs Sixpence and Donnie Brasco while Phil has shares in the KBRP horses Blazon, Arthurs Sixpence and Vinndication and owns Dandy Dan, Duke Of Earl, Mr Grey Sky, Those Tiger Feet, Party Fuzz and The Edgar Wallace.
Racing behind closed doors continues although most racecourses are trying to help by allowing up to 4 owners go to see their horse run. It is still not enough but racing has to look to the future and the fact that there are going to be more localised spikes. By being so clinical should mean racing will be able to continue like it did recently at Leicester..
The BHA are clapping down on trainers behaviour at the races.. no fraternising with owners!..well not in the wrong enclosure
I know you are interested but we have a new deep freeze appearing today for the hostel..This is because nobody goes shopping for fresh food anymore..
I asked Clare what size freezer should I buy.
