Bad debts for trainers is always a huge worry but this one is a bit of a shocker..

Sadly trainers are often too kind on slow paying and potentially non paying owners, as discussing money matters usually turns relationships between the two sour.

Once debts have been settled they invariable move onto pastures new.. hopefully not to repeat the exercise on another trainer..

This day last week Otto Lovett was born. A week old..

Luckily his mother Pandora is able to see Otto, and thanks to the Ronald McDonald House Charities she is able to stay on site to be near her baby. Otto is improving daily and Pandora and her husband James are hopeful that in another week Otto might be able to come out of ICU and downgrade to a HDU..and then home..

Nicholas and Cherry Jones (breeder/owners of Inca Rose and Rose and Thistle) have over the years organised several fund raising events for the Ronald McDonald House Charities..The RMHC is close to their heart and thanks to all their hard work Pandora and many others have and will keep benefitting..

The Test Match at Trent Bridge continues with India steaming ahead..A fun game to watch yesterday..And well done Ollie Robinson.. deserved after the way he was treated by the ECB.

The Tokyo Olympic games have been excellent and Team GB have done so outstandingly well... More medals. The closing ceremony on Sunday..

Yesterday should have been my day on the Wye but frankly it is in such a bad state that fishing in low water is not something you can do..

I walked around Royal Shipton last night.. I have been roped into a charity game at Naunton tomorrow as one player has been pinged!.. I am joining Andrew Bengough, Patrick Bailey (NR) and Fionn O'Brien

Here is a silly one for the weekend

Husband wanted to call the hospital to ask about his pregnant wife, but accidently called the cricket ground.

He asks, "How's the situation?"

He was shocked and nearly died on hearing the reply.

They said, "It's fine. 3 are out, hope to get another 7 out by lunch, last one was a duck!"

Have a good weekend and see you on Monday..

To finish Happy Birthday to Leah Fairburn.. Team member..
