Our new life is full of mixed messages.. You can go to a cinema, but not a racecourse.. I know which one I would go too.. even if our PM does not?
Further mixed messages from the sales in Newmarket.. Some big prices and on the whole the image of the sale was good.. overall trade was down 22% from last year. Tough but realistic.?
It is always good to welcome new faces into the yard, especially in these interesting times...
Graham Griffiths who visited us for the first time yesterday has bought a share in our new KBR syndicate.. a stunning 3 year old by Norse Dancer..out of Aoninch...I just loved this imposing easy walking gelding when I saw him at the sales at Goffs UK (Doncaster)
It is Griff’s very first venture into racehorse ownership, (he nearly bought a share in Vinndication.. he follows him now!!) lets hope it’s the first of many!
If you would like a share in this very attractive athletic individual (the horse not Griff) please call Peter Kerr on 07901 763643 only a few shares left!
Ludlow races today.I always enjoy racing there.. Friendly and fun.. They have a great team there and I know they will do a great job of looking after our owners today..
Welcome back to race riding David Bass.. Broken wrist healed and back with 4 rides today..
The Social Strata
Cicero of the Roman empire wrote this about the situation during his lifetime :
The poor, work & work.
The rich, exploit the poor.
The soldier, protects both.
The taxpayer, pays for all three.
The wanderer, rests for all four.
The Alcoholic, drinks for all five.
The banker, robs all six.
The lawyer, misleads all seven.
The doctor, bills all eight.
The undertaker, buries all nine.
The Politician lives happily on account of all ten.
The above was written in 43 B.C.
Still valid today?
