Plus 9 and damp when driving in.. More rain on the way?

There are some great small racecourses in this country and Market Rasen is one of them.

I know we (being owners and trainer) were spoilt by being asked to join the Directors for lunch; but having said that it was hugely appreciated by myself and Mon Palois’s owners Elizabeth and Paul Kellar.

It was a good day and their horse ran respectably to finish third in his first chase... More to come from MP now that he has qualified for handicaps.

More importantly.. Bud Booth, the ex racecourse Chairman, not only had the main race named after him (appropriately it was a mares race, not a memorial) but was on hand to present the prize to winning connection..he also suggested that he, along with Roger Weatherby Tommy Cooper and Jeremy Bradbeer should donate to Mrs B's charity The Home Farm Trust.. they did and £60 heads Clare’s way..

A long way home, but charity benefited..

Net Work Rouge was sold yesterday and has a new home.. he is going pointing and I really hope he wins many races for his new owners.

We have no runners today..
