Plus 8 and raining when driving in.

A winner..Percy Veering.. Well named and well ridden.

To say that I was expecting him to win would probably be an understatement, although I have always said I would win a race with him..

Many did not agree, but thankfully yesterday Percy's day in the limelight arrived and he won well..even if we thought the ground would not be soft enough for him..

Jockey, Ciaran Gethings, sort of believed in him, although he was not sure, but when he schooled him the other day he mistook him for another horse and was surprised when he realised it was good old Percy that he was schooling.

Silly really, but that win meant a great deal and I am so pleased for his long suffering owners Virginia Johnson, Paul Martin, Phil Case, Sarah Munro-Ashman and of course me as i own 60% of him..

Percy winning was the highlight of the day.

Grand Escapade is learning on the job. It was his first run over hurdles and one that he will improve on. The ground did in Gerard Mentor, although he looked like he might run very well when turning for him upsides in front.. he loves it firm as possible.. Halligator was disappointing and probably needs to go back in trip.

Warwick was certainly busy and my team did a good job looking after the horses.. The only down side for them was that the stable staff canteen closed either just before the last or during as it was closed when they returned after finishing off looking after Percy….

Dissapointingly for them I came home in the horsebox as my Tesla is being serviced in Stratford and I will be picking it up later today, all being well..

P.S on yesterday. Thanks Philip Lewis for helping me out ...?

Mrs. Smart was fumbling in her purse for her offering when a large television remote fell out and clattered into the aisle.

The curious usher bent over to retrieve it for her and whispered, “Do you always carry your TV remote to church?”

“No,” she replied, “but my husband refused to come with me this morning, and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally.”
