Plus 2 and dry when driving in.
It was blowing a gale at Warwick yesterday and Newtide's race was run in a blizzard. Both Newtide and Diva Reconce finished 4th.
It was hard to imagine the drive home as there were cars coming towards me covered in snow..
Saturday First Flow finished 5th. On paper a good run but he did not jump well enough. Strange horse as he jumps so well at home and his mind gets too excited when out on the course.
Sandown on Saturday will be remembered for the photo finish fiasco.. not for the first time..
Hereford on Saturday was a non event as both horses pulled up, and both owned by John Perriss whose car then played up on the way home.... a day to forget.
Communication.. A hot topic over the last week.
I was heading to Mat Chapman’s old At The Races studio office space in Milton Keynes yesterday morning but when I rang for the post code they told me they had moved to near Heathrow..I made it just in time to go on air. It all stars tomorrow..The Cheltenham Festival..
The best 4 days racing in the jump racing world. The weather could cause huge problems judging by the forecast and there is a rumour that Wednesday might not happen due to high winds..A repeat of 11 years ago?
Clare and I are lunching at Cheltenham racecourse. An annual event organised by the racecourse...
