Plus 11 and dry when driving on.

Our first winner of the 2021/2022 season..

Sayadam has at last started our season off with a very taking performance to win on soft ground at Warwick on Saturday night. His delighted owners Michael and Mary Dulverton were on hand to admire their boy jump well and win comfortably, on his first run over hurdles.. He will now have a summer break.. 2 from 2 for Sayadam as he also won his bumper at Kelso a couple of months ago..

Sadly Chazza did not run so well.. I fear we will have to forget his run and start afresh after his summer break.. This horse is far better than his form suggests. Chasing for him on his return.

Talking return.. I don’t believe there is a need for me.. well certainly when it comes to this blog.. Young Maddie has been excellent in keeping you all amused and informed on what has been happening here while I was enjoying my fishing trip.. 2 winners while I was away and that was matched by 2 fish! And Maddie.. I did catch the odd one last year by the way!!

There will be much encouragement for me to go away again..

Yes..It was great to have a couple of days away doing something I love with a couple of old mates..

We have three runners today. Bobhopeornohope heads west to Wales and Ffos Las, while Commodore Barry and Lord Apparelli head North to Southwell and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

I got up bright and early on Saturday and headed to the river. I fished all day long but didn’t catch a thing. On the way home, I stopped at the fish market.

“I want to buy the two biggest salmon you’ve got,” I said to the owner.

The owner starts to bag up his order when I stopped him “No need for that, just throw them at me.”

“Why would I do that?” the owner asked.

“So I can tell my wife that I caught two fish today!”

Todays non virus video nasty..
