Plus 13, dry and muggy when driving in.

Supper last night with John and Penny Perriss.

Occasion; to celebrate John’s best season as an owner with 12 winners..

Venue; The Old Butchers in Stow On The Wold.

Great evening, good food and venue packed..

John was seen doing his trainers bit.. John has the KBRP horse Our Belle Amie out at grass with his mares and yesterday he had visitors. Philip and Sandra Arkwright called in to see their horse. John was very positive about her future..

We had a power cut last night during evening stables.. Nothing to worry about but annoying when you have your own water and it is fed from a spring which needs pumping (electric motor).. No water from the taps.

Luckily it is not something that happens too often and with only a few horses in the yard at the moment, taking water from the field troughs was a bore, but nothing like the problem if we had 60 horses to water.  It is all back on this morning.

Prices still strong at Goffs sales in Ireland.. Aiden Murphy not so busy..

Tom Bellamy was in this morning to ride out a couple of lots.

Thursday is a quiet one and not much happening.

Richard and Fiona Connelly called in second lot to see their horse Derrintogher Bliss.. DB is currently enjoying his holidays out in the field.

BD rudely would not have his photo taken with his owners?

We now have just 2 shares left in our latest KBRP horse Blazon.. Please ring Peter Kerr on 07901763643 for details on this stunning horse..

Ed Chamberlin is to be the new face of racing when ITV takes over from Channel 4 next year..Nick Luck and his team will be missed.. Nick has been, and still will be, good for racing.. His passion, like Ed's.

We have one runner tonight at Uttoxeter. Milord goes chasing and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.

The Lords Test starts today and I will not be there.. I will saturday..

I seem to be on a week of OAP jokes..

A senior citizen said to his eighty-year old buddy:

'So I hear you're getting married?

'Yep!'

'Do I know her?'

'Nope!'

'This woman, is she good looking?'

'Not really.'

'Is she a good cook?'

'Naw, she can't cook too well.'

'Does she have lots of money?'

'Nope! Poor as a church mouse.'

'Well, then, is she good in bed?'

'I don't know.'

'Why in the world do you want to marry her then?'

'Because she can still drive!'
