Then of course there is the UK racing..including Newmarket where Sunblazer runs and Stratford where Dandy Dan runs.. For my thoughts on those two please click here..

Those old enough to remember when the jumps season stopped and had a two month break will recall the joy and celebrations of today being the last day of the season. Stratford this afternoon and Market Rasen this evening.. The Horse and Hound Cup for Hunter chase (60th running last night)  and then it was holiday time for all. It really was a true end of term day.

Time has moved on and now we hardly stop and todays meeting at Stratford is just another meeting..

Ian Reid sent this one over. Not sure it is about him?

A 79-year-old man is having a drink in a bar.  Suddenly a gorgeous girl enters and sits down a few seats away.  The girl is so attractive that he just can't take his eyes off her.  After a short while, the girl notices him staring, and approaches him.

Before the man has time to apologize, the girl looks him deep in the eyes and says to him in a sultry tone: "I'll do anything you'd like.  Anything you can imagine in your wildest dreams, it doesn't matter how extreme or unusual it is, I'm game.  I want £100, and there's another condition".

Completely stunned by the sudden turn of events, the man asks her what her condition is.  "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words."

The man takes a moment to consider the offer from the beautiful woman.  He whips out his wallet and puts £100 in her hand --- He then looks her square in the eyes, and says slowly and clearly: "Paint my house."

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday..

To finish..Congratulations to Lucinda Russell for being awarded and OBE and James Eadie for being Knighted...and to Peter Bowen for making 60.. he looks very young for his age..
