Plus 16 and still very muggy.
Kim has been busy over in Ireland buying up four lovely looking horses, time will tell if he has found the next superstar!
Summer is well and truly here and what a difference it makes to the mood, quiet at the yard but everyone seems to be smiling with a bit of sun on their backs - horses and staff are enjoying their time off. Cleaning is well underway, the top barns are finished and everything is looking fresh.
No runners for us today.... Kim always leaves me with not much to talk about yard wise so I'll fill you in on what I've been up to.
I have been in and out of the office the past few weeks travelling up and down country completing important training for my own business - most of the courses I actually started over a year ago but thanks to covid was unable to complete them until now.
Everywhere seems so much busier, I have got so used to it being quiet everywhere. I ventured out into Cheltenham the other evening for dinner and drinks and there were people everywhere, everything seems to be getting back to normal.
Plenty of other outings planned too, I've been to Kibou, 131 and The Slaughters so far and this weekend I have Alexious and my favourite The Fish.
Luckily my regular exercise will counteract the amount of food I've been consuming. I have entered myself into the Cheltenham 10k in September the half marathon was a bit to long a trip for me. Do you think it would be a good idea to enter Matt to........? he does enjoy a bit of competition
Click here to see a cracking outtake from the football game the other week........ that may well be Matt trying to catch me over 10k!
